The library just got a whole lot sweeter! Join us for a Cookie Exchange, sponsored by the Friends of Leicester Library. We’ll have a festive morning with a really delicious outcome: a variety of cookies for you to take back home!

Storyteller Andy Offutt Irwin Holiday Concert at the Weaverville Library
Monday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. (free ticket required)
Storyteller and musician Andy Offutt Irwin will perform a holiday concert at the Weaverville Library on Monday, December 9th at 7pm.  A featured performer for several years at the National Storytelling Festival, Andy will bring funny and sweet stories to celebrate the season. What do Friedrich Handel and Robert Frost have in common? What are Aunt Marguerite doing for the holidays? Andy will sing and tell us all about it. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry and discover the real heart of the holidays. FREE tickets are available beginning Tuesday, November 19th.  Sponsored by the Friends of the Weaverville Library. 

Giving Tree Book Wrapping at the Fairview Library
Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 2 p.m.
If you are interested in volunteering with the Friends of the Library to gift wrap the books from our Holiday Giving Tree, join us on Wednesday, December 11th at 2pm. Hot cocoa and holiday cheer provided. 

Swannanoa Winterfest
Saturday, Dec. 14 at 4 p.m.
Join us for the 1st annual Swannanoa Winterfest at Grovemont Park by the library. Celebrate the holiday season with friends. Caroling, hot drinks, tasty foods, unique gifts, crafts, fire and light all combining in a warm, fun afternoon and evening. We'll even see Olaf the Snowman peeking in! Free admission: bring the whole family!

Family Movie Afternoon at the Fairview Library: The Grinch
Saturday, Dec. 14 at 2 p.m.
Benedict Cumberbatch as The Grinch? Yes, please! Your holiday season isn’t complete unless you’ve spent time with this beloved curmudgeon. What will happen in this exciting, suspenseful, and, quite possibly, joyful holiday caper? Join us on Saturday, December 14th at 2pm to find out! This free film is rated PG and runs 90 minutes.

The Muppet Christmas Carol Movie Screening at Pack Library
Saturday, Dec. 21 at 1 p.m.
It’s that time of the year...for our annual screening of The Muppet Christmas Carol held in our auditorium! We'll have treats and beverages. Bring your sleeping bag, blanket, or pillow if you want to sit or lie down in the front to watch. Chairs will be out as well.  Program is free, all ages are welcome.
