Buncombe County Health and Human Services and community partners hosted Let’s Talk: COVID-19 Vaccines for 5-11 Year Olds, a parent-led, community-centered discussion about vaccines for children. This timely discussion was geared towards families and caregivers who have questions about the vaccine. The goal of creating a safer community for all residents, including the youngest members of our community, is a shared responsibility. To this end, local experts, medical providers, and public health professionals participated in this discussion about all aspects of the COVID-19 vaccine including: pros and cons, health and safety concerns, types of immunity, local trends, and where to find pediatric doses in Buncombe County.
