Groovin' On Grovemont Free Concert Series Returns in July

The Friends of the Swannanoa Library and the Swannanoa Community Council present the 19th annual Groovin' on Grovemont summer concert series in Grovemont Square, adjacent to the Swannanoa Library. These free shows will be Tuesdays on July 13, July 27, and Aug. 10 at 6 p.m. each evening. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair, and come enjoy these family-friendly evenings of great music! The concert series is free, but donations are always welcome and encouraged.

Concessions for this concert season will be New Age Barbeque and all donations and proceeds from concessions benefit the Friends of the Swannanoa Library and the Swannanoa Community Council, and provide support for the Swannanoa Library and Grovemont Park and Playground.

The Friends of the Swannanoa Library and the Swannanoa Community Council would like to thank the more than 25 business and individual sponsors of the event, and in particular, the Diamond level sponsors, who provide underwriter support for the event: Symmetry Finance Group, Carol Groben & Doug Lebbon, Dunkin, and Rooter King.

Allen Dye, chair of the Swannanoa Community Council says “We are absolutely thrilled to resume the concert series this summer, and have an exciting music and food line-up that we think the community will enjoy! We know that the community has been missing the Groovin’ concert series tradition, and is hungry to get back together for the terrific music, food, and fellowship at Groovin’ this year”. George Scott, chair of Friends of the Swannanoa Library says “This year’s musical line-up will have you dancing on the green. Come on out!”
