After months of public budget workshops, County Manager Avril Pinder formally presented her budget for fiscal year 2022 to the Board of Commissioners during its meeting on May 18. The $511.3 million recommended spending plan allows the County to continue to provide high-quality services and resources while advancing the 2025 Strategic Plan.
The three largest areas of proposed funding are:
- $96,429,713 for education
- $88,369,635 for human services
- $73,082,103 for public safety
