Looking for somewhere to recycle your Christmas tree? The holiday tree-cycling program is happening again this year at the Buncombe County Landfill.
For residents to recycle their real tree all lights, ornaments, tinsel, and garland, as well as the metal or plastic stand must be removed. It is very important that the tree is totally bare for the recycling process. Residents can drop off their trees for no charge at the Buncombe County Landfill during the month of January. The trees will be chipped and turned into mulch.
The tree reccyling program is for residential use only and commercial haulers and businesses will be charged the standard fee for yard waste.
