Celebrating 15 Years of Digital Books from Buncombe County Public Libraries

November 2020 marks the 15th anniversary of the North Carolina Digital Library (NCDL), the digital book platform for Buncombe County Public Libraries. The first digital checkout was Nov. 11, 2005, and since then, our digital library has checked out just over 1,850,000 items. The NCDL currently has a collection of 65,871 titles, with new items added every day. Anyone with a library card can download books, audiobooks, magazines, and movies from home anytime 24/7. Digital books automatically return themselves at the end of the loan period so there are never overdue fines. If you don’t have a library card, email us at library@buncombecounty.org, and we can help you get one.

Visit the NCDL today and find your new favorite read without even leaving home.
