Congratulations to Scott Mashburn, Buncombe County Transfer Station driver. Scott placed second in the tractor trailer truck competition at the 2018 SWANA International Road-E-O in Denver, CO on Sept. 22. Scott was recognized earlier this year after winning second place at the state competition.
The Road-E-O is a competition that spotlights drivers and heavy equipment operators and gives them a chance to showcase their driving skills. Scott has worked as a transfer truck driver for the past 12 years at the transfer station. “We’re very proud of Scott’s accomplishments,” notes Dane Pedersen, Solid Waste Director. “He is a dedicated employee and works in multiple capacities at the Transfer Station. He’s always willing to do what it takes to get the job done.”
