Veterans Services is Now at 40 Coxe Ave.

Buncombe County Veterans Services will be moving to the new Buncombe County Health and Human Services (BCHHS) campus at 40 Coxe Avenue. Services will be available at the new location beginning August 7, 2018. 

There will be a brief interruption of services on Friday, August 3 through Monday, August 6 when Veterans Services will not be seeing clients due to the move. 

The new Veterans Services office is conveniently located across from the bus station on Coxe Avenue and is co-located with other supportive services that may benefit veterans and their family. Visitors to Veterans Services can park at no charge in the new parking deck during their visit by simply bringing their parking ticket inside for validation during their visit to the building. Handicapped parking spaces are available on every level of the garage.

Buncombe County Veterans Services Office offers assistance in a wide range of services including burial benefits, disability benefits, education and training, home loans, health care services, and survivor benefits.

You may be eligible for benefits from Veterans Services if you are:

  • a veteran or a veteran's dependent
  • a surviving spouse or child of a deceased veteran
  • a member of the Reserves or National Guard
  • an Active Duty service member

Visitors to Veterans Services will need to enter the main entrance of the BCHHS Building at 40 Coxe Avenue and either stop at the information desk to notify the Veterans Services staff of your arrival or take the North Elevator (blue elevator) to the 7th floor.
