CROP Hunger Walk - Oct 29

Ending Hunger One Step at a Time

Help raise money and awareness for hunger relief, locally and around the world. Over 1,000 communities across the United States participate in CROP events each year. Walkers get their family, neighbors, colleagues and places of worship to pledge dollars for their participation. All ages can participate. This is a family walk event, not a race.

The walk will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 2pm.  Registration and pre-walk activities begin at 1pm. The walk will start and end at First Baptist Church of Asheville (5 Oak Street, Asheville).

Local hunger and poverty fighting programs will receive one fourth of the funds raised. The 2017 walk will support the programs of MANNA Food Bank, Loving Food Resources, and ABCCM. The remaining money is used by Church World Service to alleviate hunger and poverty throughout the nation and the world.

There is no fee to participate. All donations are encouraged and helpful to fight hunger. For more information, visit the CROP website, see the flyer below or contact Dan Dudde at starrdudde@bellsouth.net
