Sundays in July bring back the Songcatchers Music Series, now in it’s 15th year. It showcases acoustic music with roots in the Southern Appalachians – nurturing the traditions and heritage for future generations.
It takes place every Sunday in July from 3PM – 5PM in the Pisgah Forest, at 11250 Pisgah Highway. The Songcatcher’s Music series is an official part of the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area’s Blue Ridge Music Trail. Local musicians start the jam at 3PM with featured local artists, Mary Z. Cox and Tim Gardener, Crooked Pine Old Time Band, Laura Boosinger and Josh Goforth, Amy and Bob Buckingham, and the Pretty Little Goat String Band.
