"Affrilachian" storyteller Lyn Ford will be at two Buncombe County libraries on Saturday, September 28. First, she'll be at the Weaverville library at 11 a.m. to treat us to some traditional stories of the Southern Appalachians through the experience of our African American communities. Later that day at 3 p.m., Lyn will give a second performance at Pack Memorial Library with a special focus on stories for adults and older children.

A featured teller at the National Storytelling Festival, Lyn brings stories to life with audience participation, song and a variety of voices. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll be inspired!

These free programs are sponsored by the Weaverville Library Friends and the Friends of Buncombe Libraries. For more information, call Weaverville Library at 250-6482, Pack Library at 250-4700 or email library@buncombecounty.org.
