Presidents Who Shaped the 20th Century: A Film & Discussion Series

A free film/discussion series featuring 20th Century Presidents will begin 6 pm Tuesday, March 5 at Pack Memorial Library Photo of Dr. Sarah Judson, UNCA professor of history.and continue each week for a total of six Tuesday evenings. All presentations are from 6-8 pm and will include introductory remarks from our guest speaker, Dr. Sarah Judson, UNCA professor of history.

Each week features a documentary film about one president followed by group discussion of the president, the choices he faced, and the time in which he lived. Refreshments are provided. All ages are welcome, and no advance registration is needed. Come to one session, or to all six!

The six presidents and the dates they will be featured are:

  • Tuesday, March 5 at 6pm:   Theodore Roosevelt
  • Tuesday, March 12 at 6pm:  Franklin Delano  Roosevelt
  • Tuesday, March 19 at 6pm:  Harry Truman
  • Tuesday, March 26 at 6pm:  Lyndon Johnson
  • Tuesday, April 2 at 6pm:      Richard Nixon
  • Tuesday, April 9 at 6pm:      Ronald Reagan
