The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office COPS team will hold an initial community meeting at the Swannanoa Fire Station, Bee Tree Station on March 5 at 6:00 pm. Sheriff Van Duncan, as well as several members of the Sheriff’s Office command staff, will be in attendance.
Each COPS Team works in a particular community for 30 days, identifying key issues, speaking with community leaders and residents in the community, creating an action plan, and then present their findings and suggestions to the community at the end of the 30 day period. Sheriff Van Duncan, as well as several members of the Sheriff’s Office command staff, will be in attendance at Wednesday’s meeting.
Sheriff Duncan and the COPS team look forward to meeting with members of the Swannanoa community on Thursday.
