Citizen's Academy - Deadline February 12

Learn more about how our Sheriff's Office works. The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office would like to invite the public to attend the Spring 2013 Sheriff’s Citizen’s Academy. The academy is designed to provide an overview of daily operations and each topic is presented by Sheriff’s Office staff.

Space is limited to the first 30 Buncombe County residents who are approved to attend, so don’t delay – the class will fill up quickly! The application deadline is Tuesday, February 12, 2013.

The 11-week academy is scheduled for Tuesday evenings from 6 - 9 p.m. beginning on March 5 and ending on May 14, 2013. Classes will be held at the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office, 202 Haywood Street, Asheville, NC 28801. Please make certain you are available to commit to an 11-week program.

If interested, a Buncombe County resident at least 21 years of age may complete the application and release forms attached below. Please return both forms to:

Applications must be completed in full and are subject to approval. Applications must be postmarked or submitted in person to the main office, no later than Tuesday, February 12, 2013.
