June is Conservation Month and to celebrate Buncombe County Soil & Water Conservation District (BCSWCD) will be highlighting fun facts on conservation in Buncombe over on the Farm Heritage Trail social media accounts. Make sure to give them a follow on Facebook and Instagram.
Why is land conservation important?
Land conservation in Buncombe County is important for many reasons. Conservation preserves farms for future generations, protects our food and water supply, purifies our air, provides wildlife habitat, and strengthening our community just to name a few.
