Bust out your favorite beach wear and brush up on your serve; summer is here and what a better way to soak up the sun than volleyball. Buncombe County Recreation Services will host a Summer Sand Volleyball league open to adults of all skill levels. Competition is fun and friendly as teams go head-to-head to claim the title of Mountain Beach Volleyball Champions. Come be active, stay healthy, join friends, and meet others in this relaxed atmosphere.
Online registration is open now through July 10. Click here to register online. Registration cost $25 per person during early registration (through June 23), beginning June 24 the registration is $35 per person. All fees include a team shirt. Registration is open for up to 8 teams; you can sign up as a single individual or assemble your own team of hand-selected volleyball victors. League rules require teams have a minimum of 6 players and that all teams must have at least 2 female players on the court at all times (so make sure your team is co-ed).
Games are played on Tuesday evenings beginning July 11 at 6:30pm on the Buncombe County Sports Park Beach (more reasonably known as the sand volleyball court).
