If you're a runner here in Buncombe County, there are many races coming up in October. Whether you want to run for cancer, for Thomas Wolfe, or for the taps, there is a great race for you:
- Armor Run 5K/10K
- Saturday, October 22
- North Asheville Christian School
- Cash prizes for top runners, delicious food, music, and lots of cheering fans.

- Race to the Taps (Final Lap!) 4/8 mile
- Saturday, October 29
- New Belgium Brewery
- This race will take place through the River Arts District and will reward your achievement with a local craft drink at the end.

- Carrier Park Zero Prostate Cancer Run/Walk 5K or 1 mile walk
- Saturday, November 5th
- Carrier Park
- It will begin and end at Carrier Park and it's goal is to raise money and awareness to making our next generation the first generation with 0 prostate cancer. This is their inaugural race.
