It is apparent from in the Health and Human Services Annual Report, attached below, that Fiscal Year 2012 was an extremely busy year for Buncombe County.
They have taken strategic steps toward a more integrated and seamless service approach that better enables individuals’ ability to make good choices regarding their health, safety and financial stability. Much of their effort last year focused on the physical infrastructure needed for this approach.
They co-located services under one roof at Coxe Avenue and built electronic systems that support a smooth state-of-the-art client flow and coordinated access to internal and external resources and services.
As the dust settles from these building projects, they are turning their eyes toward accelerating the effectiveness of citizen support in Buncombe County by further integrating services.
Mandy Stone, Director of Buncombe County Health and Human Services, and her staff ask that the community review the Annual Report and share suggestions for ways Buncombe County can improve services.
