The Western North Carolina Regional Air Quality Agency (WNCRAQA) proudly announces the recipients of the seventh annual Pat on the Back Awards. These awards recognize local industries that have been in compliance with all aspects of their air quality permit, as well as all other WNCRAQA Rules and Regulations, over the previous calendar year. In order to qualify, a source must not have received any notices of violation or any validated citizen complaints during the year. In addition, all unannounced inspections by Agency staff must confirm compliance with all WNCRAQA regulations and all required reports must be received by the Agency on time.
This year, there were 50 such facilities that received certificates from the Agency. Those recognized were:
