I heard North Carolina is giving an extension for vehicle registrations, is that true?

Yes. Any vehicle expiring March 1-Aug. 1, 2020, has a five-month extension from expiration dates in the aforementioned range. Learn more about new extension deadlines and other information from NCDOT here.
