You might notice staff from the Buncombe County Assessor’s office looking at your commercial property. Why are we doing this? This is part of the regular process the Assessor’s Office performs to verify the property is being assessed accurately.
We always want our business owners to be safe, especially when it comes to having people show up at their businesses. Please be aware that County employee Steve Duvall (please see above picture), will be conducting these reviews. Steve is a Real Commercial Property Appraiser for Buncombe County.
What this does mean for you?:
- You have the right to ask for identification to verify Steve Duvall’s status as a County employee. Steve will always have ID accessible and be driving a Buncombe County vehicle.
- Steve will be taking measurements and photos around the exterior of your commercial property.
- Steve might ask you a few questions.
- The entire process should only take a few minutes and will only be Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
