Library Upgrades Will Limit Some Services Oct. 28-29

From Buncombe County Libraries:

The library's online catalog will be down Oct. 28-29 for a system upgrade. This will result in some service limitations for patrons:

  • Five items per library card and you must have your library card to checkout
  • No renewals
  • No requests
  • No new cards or account edits

We apologize for this inconvenience as NC Cardinal upgrades software in an effort to serve you better.

The Library database will be upgraded on Oct. 28-29. The library will be open. Patrons visiting the library will be able to check out 5 items. No other services will be available. The library catalog will be unavailable for searches, holds or book renewals and no new cards will be issued. The digital library and all online resources including ZOOM passes will work as usual during the upgrade. On Wednesday, Oct. 30 the catalog will return and all regular services can be used. Thank you for your patience and please contact us if you have any questions.
