East Asheville Library fans are eager for a construction update, and we aim to please. While construction on the new facility is moving along and on schedule, there are still some important steps to go before we turn the final page on this project.
New furniture, IT, and audio visual needs are being assessed, ordered, and installed. All circulation materials will have to be moved back in and arranged. The playground equipment will be installed and will serve as a National Demonstration Site by PlayCore’s Center for Outreach, Research, and Education (CORE) for data collection to highlight best practices and outcomes achieved. And, a final LEED inspection will still have to be scheduled before we can welcome our East Asheville family back into the building.
We hope this photo gallery will inspire imagination and future visits. We can’t wait to start this chapter at our new facility and welcome you back safely in person to this beautiful facility.
