To serve you better, Buncombe County Health and Human Services (BCHHS) will be moving more services together- under one roof. Public Health Clinical and WIC Nutrition services will be relocating to 40 Coxe Avenue in downtown Asheville.
Clients impacted by this change in location have been notified by phone calls and flyers. We will be posting information as available to our website and Facebook.
On March 18th, BCHHS Clinical Services (currently located at 53 South French Broad Avenue) will serve clients from their new location at 40 Coxe Avenue.
Clinical Services that are moving on March 18th include:
- STD testing and treatment
- Family planning
- TB testing and treatment
- Foreign travel vaccines
- Breast and Cervical Cancer Control
On March 25th, WIC Nutrition (currently located at 7 Yorkshire Street) will open in their new location at 40 Coxe Avenue. Please note that the only WIC office changing location is the one currently located at 7 Yorkshire Street. All other WIC providers will stay in their current locations across the county.
Visitors to Buncombe County Health and Human Services can park for free in the new parking deck located at 11 Sears Alley. Handicapped accessible parking is available in the parking garage on every level.
Each visitor will need to take a ticket at the garage entry. Visitors will bring that ticket inside during their visit and have it validated on their way out of the building. All visitors must park in the parking garage to receive free parking during their visit. Visitors parking in other lots or using street parking will not receive free parking and may get towed or ticketed.
