Buncombe County Joins Age-Friendly Network & Disrupt Aging Community Health Challenge

Buncombe County Commissioners will be joined by AARP and the YMCA of Western North Carolina to provide details of how the County and community partners are working to make the area a great place for people of all ages.

On Wednesday, September 20, AARP and the YMCA of WNC will be joined by County officials at a 2pm press conference to explain why the County is working on age-friendly designation by AARP and the World Health Organization.  AARP and the YMCA will also provide the rules and details of new Community Health Challenge to help make older adults healthier and more socially active.
