Buncombe County Soil and Water Conservation District is sponsoring a Conservation Poster, Essay, and Public Speaking Contest. So if you’re a student in Buncombe County looking for an outlet for your enviro-acumen, there are cash rewards for the top three students and teachers.
Any Buncombe County student in 3rd – 5th grade is eligible for the poster contest. Any county 6th grader is eligible for the essay contest, and any 7th or 8th grader is eligible for the public speaking contest. You have until January 2018 to turn in your posters, so students and teachers, get your classes involved.
