Historic Preservation Planning Workshop

Pack Memorial Library
67 Haywood Street

What is the future for Historic Preservation in Asheville? What parts of our historic built environment can benefit from future efforts? Preservation is progress, preservation is planning. Due to a grant from the Department of Cultural Resources and funding from generous private sources, the City of Asheville will be undertaking the production of a comprehensive preservation plan for Asheville and Buncombe County. The process will begin this November and be completed in June of 2014.

Public participation in the creation of the plan will be key to a successful result. The Preservation Society invites the public to an introduction to the planning process to learn how you can play a key role in this important effort for the future of preservation. If historic preservation is important to you, we urge you to attend!

This free program is sponsored by the Preservation Society and the NC Room at Pack Library. For more information, contact the Preservation Society at 828-258-7436 or the NC Room at Pack Library, 828-250-4740.
