Individuals in Group 3, Frontline Essential Workers, are eligible to recieve the COVID-19 vaccine in North Carolina. This group is comprised of people who are at a high risk of exposure during their day to day job functions. If you are in Group 3 and would like to receive a vaccine, you have a few options. You can either receive the vaccine from Buncombe County HHS by signing up for our waitlist or, visit myspot.nc.gov to find a vaccine provider in North Carolina near you.
In order to qualify for Group 3, frontline essential workers must be attending work in-person and work in one of the eight following essential sectors:
- Critical Manufacturing
- Education
- Essential Goods
- Food and Agriculture
- Government and Community Services
- Health Care and Public Health
- Public Safety
- Transportation
