NC General Assembly Approves New Congressional District for 2020 Election

A three-judge panel of the Wake County Superior Court ruled Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, that North Carolina’s 2020 congressional elections will take place under maps approved by the N.C. General Assembly in mid-November. These new maps place Buncombe County completely within the 11th Congressional District. New voter cards will be mailed mid-December. To view the districts statewide use the General Assembly’s lookup tool. Candidate filing for congressional seats for the primary election on Tuesday, March 3, is now open.
