General Statement of Duties
Employee will perform a variety of duties that may include the recording and indexing of deeds, deeds of trust, plats, DBA’s, and UCC’s. Employee may also record birth records, death records, and marriage licenses, as well as issue certified copies of these documents to the public. Employee must understand and exemplify excellent customer service. Employee will work independently within established policies and procedures and statutory requirements. Employee must be able to multi-task, be very well organized and work well under pressure. Employee must maintain professional demeanor with customers at all times. Our ideal candidate would be someone who has worked in a team environment in the past. (#1066) 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Some knowledge of the functions and procedures of the Register of Deeds office is preferred. Ability to work under the pressure of frequent interruptions. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public. Ability to speak Spanish or an Eastern European language is a plus. Must be able to type accurately at an average speed of 50 words per minute. Must have knowledge of modern office procedures. Must have some familiarity with Microsoft Office software, internet applications, and general computer experience.

Minimum Education and Experience
The ideal candidate would have a bachelor’s degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and training. Previous work or internship experience in a clerical position is required.
