Buncombe County Government offices and libraries will be closed on Monday, May 27 for Memorial Day. The Landfill and Transfer Station will be open regular hours on Monday, May 27, and Waste Pro Services will be operating on a regular schedule.
Also, the Buncombe County Sports Park is closed to vehicles May 25-26 for the Mountain Disc Golf Experience tournament. Pedestrian access is still available with parking at the upper lot on 24 Apac Circle. Hominy Valley Park is located 3.9 miles away on 25 Twin Lakes Dr. and features a playground, picnic areas with grills, and an outdoor swimming pool. All of our other parks are open regular hours. Pools are only open on Saturday and Sunday until the end of school.
