Maintain Your Central Air Conditioner

Central air-conditioning units must have some basic maintenance done to them.
To make sure the system operates with adequate airflow, check the furnace filter monthly and replace it when it is dirty.
Other maintenance requirements include keeping the cabinet louvers, coils, and aluminum fins clean and free from debris. To clean the parts, remove the cabinet cover and use a garden hose or shop vac to clear away any dirt or leaves that has accumulated on the cover. Also, hose or vacuum the dirt from the coils and fins, check the cover periodically and remove any debris that had collected, especially after a storm.
