The Buncombe County Fire Marshal's office is located in the Emergency Operations Center at 35 Woodfin Street in downtown Asheville. The Fire Marshal's Office is responsible for the enforcement of the fire code and minimum housing code for Buncombe County.
In addition, the Fire Marshal's office makes regular inspections of businesses , investigates fires, and conducts fire prevention programs throughout the year on an as-requested basis. Information and services may be obtained by calling (828) 255-5087.
