Sheriff Announces Spring Citizen's Academy

Join the Citizen’s Academy to get the inside scoop and learn about the daily operations of the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office. Each topic is presented by staff members.

The academy is Tuesday evenings, March 10 - May 19 from 6 to 9 pm. Classes are held at the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office, 60 Court Plaza, 4th Floor, in downtown Asheville. Please make certain you are available to commit to an 11-week program.

Space is limited to the first 25 Buncombe County residents who are approved to attend, so don’t delay – class will fill up quickly! Application deadline is Friday, February 27, 2015.

Buncombe County residents at least 18 years of age who wish to attend need to complete the application and release forms.

Mail or drop off both forms to:

Application must be completed in full and is subject to approval, it also must be postmarked, emailed or submitted in person to the main office no later than Friday, February 27.
