Activities for Seniors Ages 50-Better

Senior Sightseers is a program offered to Seniors age 50 and better on day trips to surround areas.

• February 2007 Senior Sightseers Trip/Workshop Brochure - Anyone interested in attending a workshop or trip may print the flyer and mail it in with his or her payment.

Please see a list of guidelines that you should be aware of regarding Senior Sightseers. 

• From Patton Avenue/Smokey Park Highway to Leicester Highway
• Turn onto Leicester Highway/NC 63 and rive approximately 2.9 miles to Mt. Carmel Rd.
• Turn right onto Mt. Carmel Rd (at traffic light: Ingles on right hand corner)
• On Mt. Carmel Rd. Drive 1 block through next traffic light
• Immediately past traffic light turn right at #49 Mt. Carmel Rd
• Please park in lot or grassy area in front or on the side of building

We will take a 15 passenger van. We will not load the van until 10 minutes before the trip is scheduled to leave.

Registration: To register for any trip, you need to turn in your registration form and fee before the registration deadline. There is limited space and trips usually become full before the deadline. If you have registered for a trip that is full, you will be contacted and automatically placed on a waiting list. In the event that a space opens, we will hold your money until the date of the trip. If you cannot fill that space or a space does not open, your money will b e returned to you. You will only be contacted if a trip is full. You will not be contacted to confirm registration.

Refund Policy: Refunds will not be given unless the trip is cancelled due to inclement weather (please see below). BCPRS will keep a waiting list for those who inquire about a trip after the deadline. You may choose to sell your place to someone else if you wish.

Inclement Weather Policy: BCPRS reserves the right to cancel any trip at any time due to the threat of or the act of inclement weather. Refunds will be given if the trip is cancelled.
