The Buncombe County Law Library is a public law library. It is part of Buncombe County Public Libraries. Its mission is to serve the legal needs of the general public and the legal community.
The Law Library's collection emphasizes North Carolina materials. The primary access is through online databases, which the library provides free to patrons. Many of the the North Carolina treatises are also available in print versions, including state and appellate cases, statutes, local ordinances, regulations, law reviews, form books, directories and commentaries. Internet access and copiers are also provided. Materials may not be checked out from the library. Copies and printouts are 25¢ per page.
The law library staff offers reference assistance to all patrons but cannot give legal opinions or interpret legal materials.

The Law Library is on the 10th floor of the Buncombe County Courthouse.
