Candidate filing for the 2013 Municipal elections begins at noon on Friday, July 5, 2013 and continues through noon on Friday, July 19, 2013.
Filing takes place at the Buncombe County Board of Elections office located at 35 Woodfin Street. Candidates will complete a Notice of Candidacy form at the time of filing. Filing fees must be paid by a check made payable to the Board of Elections. In addition, candidates must reside within the municipality for which they are filing. Municipalities having elections this year include the city of Asheville, Black Mountain, Montreat, Woodfin & Weaverville.
