Adult Social Services:
Intake

The Adult Unit has a Social Worker available Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, to answer phone calls or take walk ins.

Our intake Social Worker has information not only about DSS provided services but also services provided by other agencies.

Adult Services Intake Services include:

Receives reports of abuse, neglect and or exploitation of the disabled

Receives complaints reguarding Adult Care Hom

Takes referrals for CAP, InHome, Guardianship, Payee, etc

Refers person to outside community agencies when appropriate

Makes reports or directs people to law enforcement when appropriate

Makes arrangements for unclaimed bodies

Appointment Procedure

If you have any questions you may call the Adult Service Intake line at 250-5814, or come into our office located at 40 Coxe Ave.

To make a Protective Service Referral call our Intake Unit at 250-5800 between the hours mentioned above, no appointment needed. If it is an emergency and after 5:00 or on weekends you may call 211 or 252-HELP(4357) if outside the city limits, or from a cell phone.
