Child Care Providers
A wide variety of support services and resources are
available to early childhood education professionals
through Buncombe County Child Care Services. These span
from information and assistance with starting a new
center or Family child Care Home, to helping everyone
stay abreast of changes occurring in child care rules
and regulations. For a full listing of services available

- Training workshops, on a wide variety of topics,
are offered on an ongoing basis to providers.
- The cost of training workshops varies due to the
content/nature of the workshop.
- Training is provided to meet licensing requirements
and to assist in the delivery of quality child care.
- Training and Technical Assistance is available to
child care providers seeking National Accreditation.

- Counseling is available regarding group care and
child development issues. Providers may call anytime
for technical assistance.
- Consultation is available to help anyone interested
in starting a child care program, including the "How
To" of setting up a center or family child care

- Consultation & training is offered to centers
serving children with special needs.

- A wide variety of books, videos, materials, and
a computer with Internet access are available to any
child care provider. This service is provided free.
