Community Service Routes

Serving Your Public Transportation Needs

Buncombe County’s Mountain Mobility now offers two Community Service Routes, one in Black Mountain and one serving the Enka-Candler area.

Flag the driver to pick you up by raising your hand. The bus will stop at safe points along the route upon request. Passengers must wear seat belts and abide by safety policies. Change for fares is not available. Service Window +/- 5 Minutes.

Black Mountain Trailblazer Route

The Black Mountain Trailblazer provides transportation to various areas within the City of Black Mountain including Ingles, Cheshire Fitness Center, Blue Ridge Rd, the Black Mountain Center and Montreat College.  You may download and print out a Pocket Schedule of the Black Mountain Trailblazer Community Service Route.
You may also view a detailed map of stops for Route 28-A.

Enka-Candler Trailblazer Routes

The Enka-Candler Trailblazer Route offers 3 routes to meet the Asheville Transit Buses at the NCDMV located on Patton Ave.

We also offer request-only pickups if you need to get to NCDMV or Biltmore Square Mall to catch the city bus before the pick up times indicated on the schedule.  Please call 24 to 48 hours in advance at 258-3887 and press option 5 to speak with someone to reserve a trip.
