Buncombe County Tax Office wants you to know there are several ways to pay your taxes so you can avoid the long lines between December and January 5th, 2017.
- In Person - visit the Tax Office's new location at 94 Coxe Ave. You can park across the street from the entrance.
- By Mail - there is a self-addressed envelope included with your tax bill.
- Dropbox - Place your check or money order in the drop box located at 35 Woodfin Street.
- Electronic Payments - you can use the online bill pay which can be found at buncombecounty.org/tax
- Credit Card by Phone - call 1.877.690.3729 and enter Buncombe's jurisdiction code (4301)
- Preauthorized Debit Program - contact the Tax Office at 828.250.4910 to get more information on this option and to get started.
Remember that all payments must be received or postmarked no later than January 5, 2017 to avoid the 2% interest. Payment plan options are offered by the tax department but must be set up early to participate. If you need a payment plan, call the office immediately at 828.250.4910.
