The Buncombe County/Henderson County Sheriffs Offices joint Intradiction Team Seized a large amount of drugs being transported on Interstate 40 in Buncombe County.

Hundreds of pounds of pot have three men from California in trouble here in the mountains.
With the help of the Highway Patrol, the Buncombe County Sheriff's Highway Interdiction Team arrested 44-year-old Antonio Machado, 22-year-old Juan Pineda, and 43-year-old Steven Wilson.
Authorities said they pulled over two vehicles Wednesday night -- a truck and a Mercedes S.U.V. -- for traffic violations on I-40 near Candler.
That's when officers discovered 250 pounds of pot in the truck.
All three men are being held in the Buncombe County jail, charged with one count of conspiracy to traffic marijuana.
Wilson is also charged with two counts of trafficking marijuana.
