Cyber Security Turns Americans Private

"Don't put anything about your personal self on the Internet is the absolute best practice." said a leading Internet media security analyst. Americans are becoming more educated about the risks of disclosing "anything" about themselves on the Internet.

"In the beginning everyone thought they could be famous by seeing their names in the limelight of the Internet", but now cyber crimes, personal information invasion and the long term and perpetual lingering effects of information posted on the social media has people rethinking their habits.

Anything and everything posted on a social media site can come back to haunt you at anytime in the future; express a political view, use profane language, discuss your vacation plans, all of these can provide information that could be found years later.

So, be very careful what you post - it may never go away.
