Thanks to HandMade in America, a new quilt exhibit is open in the lobby of 35 Woodfin.
This exhibition was created through a partnership between HandMade in America and Buncombe County. In an effort to make this government building a more welcoming space for the employees and the citizens of Buncombe County, Buncombe County Register of Deeds Drew Reisinger requested HandMade in America loan a few of their great handmade quilts for display.
Reisinger said, “Buncombe County Government strives to support the arts and artists of our community. We are proud to partner with HandMade in America whose efforts celebrate our cultural heritage.”
Next time you are downtown, check out 35 Woodfin and the Handmade Quilt Exhibit.
HandMade is a nonprofit economic development organization that grows economics through craft and serves 25 counties in WNC.
