The Buncombe County Sports Park, located at Enka-Candler, North Carolina, is a beautiful park surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Buncombe County Sports Park is dedicated to developing programs that encourage teamwork, positive attitudes, and building a strong future for sports in our communities. The Park has been created by the generous donations of time, materials, and money of many sponsors and Buncombe County Commissioners. Amenities include:

  • Seven soccer fields
  • Sand Beach Volleyball Court
  • Bocce Ball Courts
  • Disc Golf Course
  • Walking Trail
    • The walking trail at the Buncombe County Sports Park is made of crushed gravel. It is ideal for walking, running, bicycles and baby strollers.

Community Impact:

  1. Sponsorship opportunities open to local businesses are available throughout the Park. These sponsorships help build, maintain, and allow for future development of the Park as well as help the growth of local businesses.
  2. Hosting future tournaments will also bring families and tourists into the area for extended weekends, thus bringing more revenue to the area.

Rental Information

The following is available on a rental basis:

Shelter $75 per day (Call for Availability - 250-4260)
Shelter Rental Agreement (PDF)
Soccer field $25 per hour per field for youth
$35 per hour per field for adults
Entire park
(without field use) 		$500 per day
Entire park
(without field use and restrooms)		 $400 per day

Take I40 West to exit 44. Take a right at the red light onto Smokey Park Hwy. Go through the next red light and turn right on Acton Circle. At the next light take a left onto Sandhill School Road. Go three-tenths of a mile. The Buncombe County Sports park is on the right. Look for the signs identifying the Sports Park. Turn right. The Disc Golf Course will be on your left.
