Borrowing Guidelines

 

Loan Period

Books, Audio Cassettes, and Compact Discs 3 weeks
High Demand Books 14 days
Videocassettes 7 days
Art Prints 6 weeks

 

Renewals


Books (if not on reserve), audio cassettes, compact discs, and art prints may be renewed once. Videocassettes may not be renewed.

 

Phone & Online Renewals


For your convienence, you may renew your library materials over the phone. Make sure to have your Library Card on hand before calling.

Call the branch your materials are checked out from or Pack Memorial. Please note: Overdue items may not be renewed. You may also renew your books online. Click here to access your account. Your user ID is your library card number and the PIN is the last 4 digits of your phone number.

 

Hold Requests


You may reserve books, books-on-tape, and language tapes. These items can only be checked out to the requesting patron. Holds are free and you may have up to 5 at one time.

For your convienence, you may place hold requests over the phone. Make sure to have your Library Card on hand before calling. You may only make reserve requests on books, books-on-tape, and language tapes. You can also place requests online. Click here, log onto your account and place your request.

There is a maximum of 3 requests per call and a $1.00 per title charge will be assesed to your library account.

 

Fines

Fines will be assesed on a per day, per item basis aslisted:

Adult Books $0.20
Children's Materials $0.20
Cassettes & CDs $0.20
Art Prints $1.50
Videocassettes $1.50

Fines are calculated for each calendar day, except Sunday and when the library is closed.
Overdue fines must be paid in order to maintain borrowing privileges.

 

Returns

  • Books, cassettes, CDs and videos may be returned to any location.
  • Books may be returned in the book drop.
  • Cassettes, art prints and CD's must be returned to a desk.
  • Art prints must be returned to the lending library.
  • Videos may be returned in the video drop after hours.
