The Friends of West Branch Library present Bill Whipple in character as horticultural genius Luther Burbank, famed developer of the Russet Burbank potato and the Shasta daisy. The presentation will reveal Burbank’s deeper vision of humanity, inspired by his lifelong immersion in the natural world.
Bill Whipple, a teacher and consultant on sustainable agriculture, is described by reliable sources as “an avid agriculturalist who fritters away most of his off season by presenting provocative agricultural topics. This is the first serious thing he has ever done in his life – if he actually does it!
