Honor           Respect           Dignity


The BCFA Honor Guard is a joint effort of the fire, EMS, and rescue agencies of Buncombe County, it is their duty is to provide reverent honor to fallen members of the emergency services.

This 18 member team was established in September 1999. They have spent countless hours training to perfect their routines, most of which are based on traditional military and fire service ceremonies.
These team members are career and volunteer personnel from a variety of the fire and EMS agencies in Asheville and Buncombe County.

In addition to funerals, the team participates in events such as memorials and dedications as well as presenting of the colors for special events.
