Clerk to the Board

Kathy Hughes is the Clerk to the Board and serves a four- year appointed term. The Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners serves as the official administrative officer for Buncombe County. This office handles all the official records kept by the Board of Commissioners. All documents including ordinances, leases, resolutions, contracts, etc that are considered or adopted by the Board of Commissioners are officially recorded by this office and held here for public inspection. The Commissioner's agenda is also handled by the Clerk and can be accessed on line for your convenience.

 

 Location and Hours of Operation:


The Clerk's office is located in the Administrative Services Building at 205 College Street in Suite 300 in downtown Asheville. This office is open from 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday.
