Buncombe County Finance

The Buncombe County Finance Department’s mission is to provide exemplary financial management services to County departments and to our community. Ensuring that the County is in compliance with federal, state, and local government fiscal control rules and regulations is also a main focus.

Services we provide for Buncombe County: 

  • Managing the County's debt, budgetary and program compliance
  • Internal auditing
  • Processing payroll and accounts payable
  • Investing the County's money
  • Managing the County's enterprise resource system
  • Financial reporting, cash flow and banking
  • Collecting occupancy tax
  • Grant management
